Randy Coneby

Randy joined GTM Risk Management, LLC, in 2008. As a principal of the group, he assists banks and other financial institutions with audit risk assessments, financial operational audits, enterprise risk management, business process review and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance. In particular, Randy specializes in information technology (IT) audits.

Randy has over 20 years of experience in the risk management and audit fields. Therefore, he has worked through several difficult audit issues and is able to effectively handle his clients’ diverse challenges and meet their individual needs. Since the inception of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Randy has helped multiple clients comply with SOX 404 requirements and avoid potential issues with external auditors and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In addition, he has assisted the IT Departments of large organizations through major mergers and acquisitions. In the past, Randy’s audits have brought more to clients than traditional issues and recommendations. For example, some audits have provided clients with initiatives such as integrating systems and eliminating double entry that resulted in savings of over $10 million.

Beyond helping his clients improve their success and maximize their business results, Randy has extended his knowledge to other audiences in the audit arena. Specifically, he authored an article for The EDP Audit, Control and Security Newsletter entitled, “Reviewing U.S. Government Computer Search and Seizure Policies.” Randy also presented on “Assessing the Reliability of Computer Processed Data” for the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Prior to joining GTM Risk Management, Randy spent 5 years at Accume Partners, a risk management and compliance company with offices throughout the U.S., where he served as Director in charge of all IT audit engagements in the Mid-Atlantic region. He also has experience performing audits at MBNA America Bank, Bank One, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the United States Postal Service Inspector General. Randy began his professional career as a civilian auditor with the United States Air Force Audit Agency where he performed audits on weapon and financial systems for 10 years.

Raised in Moorestown, New Jersey, Randy has lived in various regions across the U.S. and abroad including Virginia, California and the United Kingdom. He currently resides in Maple Shade, New Jersey with his wife and three children. In his free time, Randy enjoys playing sports with his children.
