Al joined Global Tax Management, Inc. (GTM) in 2006. He is a director in the firm’s Harrisburg area office where he primarily serves multinational corporations in the manufacturing and retail industries. Al specializes in ASC 740 and FIN 48 consulting, and structuring international operations.
Al has over 25 years of experience in the corporate tax and audit fields, enabling him to provide sound, quality advice to his clients. He has often assisted clients with ASC 740 reporting under tight deadlines, FIN 48 adoptions, and remediation of earnings and profit pools. Al has also helped a client implement strategies to maximize its FTC utilization.
Prior to joining GTM, Al served as tax director at Fortune 500 Company, York International Corp., where he worked for seven years. He previously spent five years at MBNA America Bank where he was responsible for international tax and IRS audits. Al also served over seven years as tax manager at oilfield service provider, Schlumberger Ltd., and spent the final two years of his tenure on an expatriate assignment in Stavanger, Norway. He began his career in the audit and tax staff of Arthur Young & Company, which later merged to become Ernst & Young. During the course of his career, Al has traveled extensively abroad.
Al feels his success stems from his attention to detail – both in his day-to-day technical tasks as well as his client relationships. He looks forward to the new challenges each day brings and works hard to find ideal solutions based on each client’s unique situation.
Al was raised in Hanover, Pennsylvania and now lives in Lemoyne with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and attending his children’s sporting events. Al also has an interest in music.
