Dave joined Global Tax Management, Inc. (“GTM”) in 2006 and serves as a Director in GTM’s Tax Accounting Services (TAS) Practice. He specializes in all aspects of tax accounting including the development and implementation information systems used for financial and tax reporting.
Prior to joining GTM, Dave held management positions in both tax and accounting for Smiths Group North America and GlaxoSmithKline. His extensive knowledge of Fortune 500 multinational organizations covers a wide spectrum of tax and finance functions including Federal, state and international corporate income tax, ASC 740 Income Tax Accounting, sales/use/VAT taxes, unclaimed property compliance, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, project management and database administration.
Dave’s diverse background in systems implementation, project management and financial accounting allows him and his team to develop solutions that address the tax reporting and compliance requirements without losing sight of the impact on the accounting, tax and internal audit functions.
Dave has significant experience working with a number of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems as well as their integrated solution partners including JD Edwards, SAP, Hyperion and Vertex. He has participated in multiple projects designing and implementing global solutions to support accounting, financial/tax reporting, accounts payable and purchasing. These scalable solutions allow global operations to reduce cycle time, minimize risk and rapidly achieve return on investment.
Since joining GTM, Dave’s primary focus has been providing Tax Accounting Services to our diverse client base. Such services include co-sourcing and outsourcing all aspects of tax accounting including financial reporting, audit assistance and special projects. In addition, the TAS Practice specializes in the design and implementation of tax accounting systems to streamline and automate the reporting processes. Dave and his team use their intimate knowledge of the financial reporting process as well as tax accounting proficiency to deliver time and cost saving solutions while meeting both internal and regulatory reporting requirements. Dave is a frequent speaker at both the local and national levels on the subject of tax accounting and related technologies.
Dave was raised in the Philadelphia Area and now resides in Jeffersonville, Pennsylvania with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading and is an avid cyclist.
