Bill joined Global Tax Management, Inc. (GTM) in 2001. As a director in the firm’s Pittsburgh area office, he assists clients with technical tax issues, tailoring his services to meet their unique needs. Specifically, Bill provides comprehensive corporate tax consulting and compliance services to organizations in the manufacturing, distribution, retail, service, utility, financial and extractive industries.
With over 30 years of experience in taxation, Bill has the knowledge and technical skills necessary to help his clients operate at their highest level. Throughout his career, he has helped numerous clients achieve significant tax savings. Specifically, Bill assisted a client to obtain a private letter ruling from the IRS, which helped them avoid limitations on carryforward tax attributes of approximately $1 billion.
Bill most recently served as the Pittsburgh office Principal in charge of the Corporate Tax Consulting Services for former “Big Five” accounting firm, Arthur Andersen LLP, where he worked for 16 years. He also previously worked in the tax departments of two Fortune 500 public companies, National Intergroup, Inc. and H. K. Porter Company, Inc.
Bill attributes his professional success to his motivation, intellectual curiosity and enjoyment for serving clients. He is also extremely goal oriented, which has served as a foundation for the high standards he sets for himself throughout each client engagement. Bill is always willing to go the extra mile to achieve the best results possible.
Bill was raised in Pittsburgh and currently resides in Allison Park, Pennsylvania with his wife. Together they have two daughters. Outside the office, Bill enjoys playing basketball and golf, spending time with his grandchildren and singing in his church’s choir.
